Case Study : Grand Ole Opry

Challenge:
What do you do when you have a well-known music venue with a gift shop that wants a custom product to sell in their retail stores?  You create one! So, the custom color, branded Guitar Shaped Stress Reliever was introduced in the retail outlets of The Grand Ole Opry.

 

Solution:
We found a company that could source overseas and took the concept to China for a quote.  The plant already had the shape available they could cut so it also made it very affordable. We customized the colors and allowed the additional time to produce it and to be delivered to the States. 

Since these were being sold retail, we also were tasked with finding someone that could produce the UPC codes that would register in the scanning system that was being used, finding out that there is actually a Part number for the bar code.  We could deliver what they needed. We had to revise our orders then to include individual poly bagging, so we had a place to adhere that sticker.


Results:
The Grand Ole Opry has been placing orders for these since 2011, and they are a great seller in their stores and with a good profit margin.  The price point is also affordable for tourists to purchase as they visit the Opry to listen to some great Country Music or stop by one of their retail outlets.  It is a unique item to take home for the memory of their trip to Nashville.
